Henry Sanoff papers, 1969-2001 [manuscript]

Consists primarily of project design booklets generated by graduate students enrolled in the Community Design Group at the North Carolina State University School of Design. The booklets illustrate the technical design processes involved in each project. The program focuses on community works that enable students to engage directly with members of various North Carolina communities. CDG projects solicit input from all members of a particular community in development planning, using a series of games (called workshops) that involve community members in the design process. Documentation of community involvement in the planning process, along with project and community historical overviews, are provided with each study.
